Back pain has a
variety of causes from muscle strains to misaligned bones to damaged
discs. Chiropractic care relieves back pain by insuring proper
spinal |
motion through a gentle process called chiropractic
adjustments and identification of weak areas in need of strengthening.
These are some causes of back pain:
Facet Joint Syndrome
occurs at the back of each vertebra and prevents normal
spinal motion. This common cause of low back pain can result from sports
trauma, work, or normal aging.
Sacroiliac Syndrome
is the locking of the sacroiliac joint that sit on
either side of the tailbone at the base of the spine resulting in generalized
dull ache in the low back which may also be felt in the buttocks or
down the back of the thigh.
Ruptured Disc
results from a disc that has weakened due to repetitive
injury or small traumas that rupture, thus allowing some of the soft
center material to leak out through the tough outer casing into the
vertebral canal. This "leak" can press on the nerves which
go to your legs, causing sharp pain down to your toes.
